  • Join lessons and access resources easily in one secure online space.

  • Stay organised with notes, assignments and feedback all in one place.

  • Develop valuable digital skills that support their studies and future opportunities.

  • Work more collaboratively with tutors and peers through Class Notebook and Teams.

 iDEA Award Journey Underway!

We’re proud to share that our learners have been working hard all year towards achieving their iDEA Bronze Award.

Learners - Keep up the fantastic work, every challenge brings you closer to your goal!

The iDEA Award helps learners develop key digital skills like online safety, communication and problem-solving through engaging, interactive challenges. It also builds essential enterprise and employability skills such as teamwork, creativity and time management. By completing the Bronze Award, learners gain a nationally recognised qualification that boosts their confidence and opens doors to future opportunities.

Just wrapped up marking 275 GCSE exam scripts, that’s a whopping 8,250 questions marked, approved and submitted! It’s been a huge task, though the work can sometimes feel a bit repetitive, there’s something incredibly satisfying about ticking off every single paper from my checklist.

I do love a good simple checklist... for keeping track and seeing progress along the way. When you’re faced with hundreds of scripts, it can feel overwhelming. But having a clear visual of what’s done and what’s left makes the process manageable and, dare I say it, even motivating!Being an examiner gives me an in-depth understanding of exactly what examiners are looking for in learners’ responses. Plus, it helps me guide learners on how to interpret and understand exam questions properly. This knowledge allows us to deliver targeted exam techniques and

guidance, helping learners approach their exams with confidence and clarity. By fully understanding the marking criteria and question demands, we can better prepare our learners to meet expectations and improve their performance.

Marking exams is a critical part of the education process, helping ensure every learner’s efforts are fairly assessed. It takes time, focus and attention to detail. But crossing that final item off the list? Pure relief and accomplishment.

If you’re tackling a big project or a mountain of tasks, I highly recommend using a checklist. It breaks things down into bite-sized steps and gives you a real sense of achievement as you go. a

We’ve just completed our first after school Coding Club at a local Primary School and what a great success it has been.

Our young learners had a fantastic time completing coding challenges each week. We coded a reaction game to see who could accurately count to a certain number and when the robots joined the club, we looked at how robotic sensors worked and afterwards, we programmed them to follow a path designed by our young coders. We also coded a tug of LED game, which got quite competitive!

What a fabulous Coding Team we had for our first after school club. The group were fantastic and the reviews they gave us were simply awesome. We’ve so enjoyed running this club and we can’t wait to do it all over again next term.

If you think your school would benefit from running one of our Coding Clubs, then why not get in touch with us and we’ll see if one can be arranged with your school.  Happy Coding......!

Team AMT got into the Christmas spirit this week by getting all creative at St James's C of E Junior & Infants School. Pupils enjoyed creating their own festive decorations and a fabulous time was had by everyone who attended.

AMT were delighted to make a donation to the school from every creative piece of artwork made.

AMT continue to support good causes It’s been a busy time for Team AMT recently supporting great causes such as Children in Need, The Kindness Challenge and getting involved with Anti-bullying Week.

During our sessions this week we’ve taken some time out to talk about the Kindness Challenge and what our learners can do to be kind to someone. Each learner talked about a particular act of kindness they were going to carry out. Whether our children play a game with a new friend or help someone with homework, it all helps create a better world.

We think our learners are just FAB!

NSPCC Childhood Day Mile  - YAY, we did It !!!

Team AMT (Little Legs) successfully achieved their ‘Going the Extra Mile’ challenge in aid

of the NSPCC national flagship Childhood Day Mile.

The team completed their Childhood Day Mile by doing an egg and spoon walk near to the

AMT accredited tuition centre in Durkar, Wakefield. We had fun attempting to keep the eggs

on our spoons and I’m pleased to say that although the eggs had seen better days by the

time we completed the mile, they all made it, albeit a little battered, bruised and cracked!!

WELL DONE TEAM AMT (Little Legs) !!a

SPIRING MINDS TUITION  - WE’RE GOING THE ‘EXTRA MILE’ FOR THE NSPCC!

Team AMT are often seen going the extra mile to make sure our learners get the best educational, well-being and creative support that we can offer.

Today marks the annual NSPCC’s national flagship Childhood Day and our Team AMT (Little Legs) will be limbering up to take part in an egg and spoon walk where they’ll be attempting to walk for one mile without dropping their eggs in order to help raise funds in support of this great charity. Chatting to the team earlier today they all said they were ‘Egg-cited’ to be taking part and were convinced they would have a ‘Cracking’ time doing their mile walk!!

AMT are huge supporters of charitable causes and we’re proud to be doing our bit to support a day of fundraising and action that brings communities together and gives everyone a way to help our keep children safe.

Half a million children suffer abuse or neglect each year in the UK. That means 7 children

in a classroom experience abuse before they turn 18. This is an incredible worrying

statistic and totally unacceptable. Child abuse has no place in childhood.

SO……if you’re taking part in the NSPCC 2024 Childhood Day then we hope you have a

great day and raise lots of funds for this great cause, and together, let’s all do our bit to

help protect our children.
